Radon: why it matters and what to do about it

It’s the second leading cause of lung cancer, and responsible for 21,000 lung cancer deaths every year!

Radon gas comes from the break down of metallic elements in soil and rocks beneath homes. It’s colorless, odorless, tasteless, and seeps in through the foundation and walls. Scary, right? Luckily, it’s incredibly easy to test for, and there are ways to get it out of your house and prevent it from coming back in.

TESTING: the EPA recommends testing your home every 2 years, or if you do a major renovation. Test kits are easy to get here— and they’ll send one to your home. I just got mine!
