Terms of Service for Interior Medicine Consultations and Educational Lab Review Consultations
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before booking a consultation with Interior Medicine LLC. By booking a consultation with Interior Medicine LLC (“Interior Medicine,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not book a consultation.
By participating in a consultation with Interior Medicine, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Education and Information Only – No Medical Advice.
1.1. The healthy home and educational lab review consultations (the “Educational Consultations”) provided by Interior Medicine are for informational and educational purposes only. While Dr. Meg Christensen, ND is a licensed naturopathic doctor in Oregon, she does NOT provide any medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment in the Educational Consultations. Educational Consultations are solely to provide education and information about designing a healthier home and how your lab tests can suggest how your home is impacting your health and how to create a healthier home environment. No medical advice, diagnosis or treatment is provided, and Educational Consultations are not to be perceived or relied upon in any way as medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment for any health condition.
1.2. Participating in an Educational Consultation does NOT create a doctor-patient relationship between you and Dr. Meg Christensen. Educational Consultations are not a substitute for professional medical advice and review of your lab results from a physician or other healthcare provider licensed in your state, and you agree not to rely upon Educational Consultations as a substitute or a replacement for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have any concerns or questions about any of your lab results or your health, you should always consult with a licensed healthcare professional. Do not disregard, avoid or delay obtaining medical advice from a licensed healthcare professional because of participation in an Educational Consultation. The use of any information provided during Educational Consultations is solely at your own risk.
1.1. If you choose to share the results of any lab tests with Dr. Christensen, any discussions or reviews of your lab tests are solely for educational purposes, to enhance your knowledge as it relates to how your home may be impacting your health, and to help you design a healthier home environment. The purpose of educational lab reviews is NOT to diagnose any medical condition, and Dr. Christensen does not provide any medical advice, diagnosis or treatment based on lab results. Lab reviews are solely to assess your home environment and health as it relates to improving your home environment. You are advised to consult with a physician and/or other licensed healthcare provider for any medical interpretation, treatment or diagnosis related to any lab tests. If Dr. Christensen suspects the existence of a disease or medical condition requiring diagnosis, you will be recommended to consult a licensed medical professional for medical diagnosis and treatment.
2. No Guarantees, Limitation of Liability and Release of Claims.
2.1. Interior Medicine makes no guarantees or warranties, expressed or implied, about any results to be achieved from participation in Educational Consultations.
2.2. Because Dr. Christensen is not providing medical advice or care, neither Interior Medicine nor Dr. Christensen will be held liable for any self-treatment you undertake or for failure to diagnose, identify, prevent, or treat any health condition you have. You understand that diagnosis and treatment of disease is NOT the purpose of or part of Educational Consultations.
2.3. You acknowledge you are advised to consult with a licensed healthcare professional for medical advice, and by participating in an Educational Consultation, you release Interior Medicine and Dr. Meg Christensen on your behalf and on behalf of your personal representatives, estate, heirs, next of kin, and assigns, from any and all liability, damages, causes of action, allegations, suits, sums of money, claims and demands whatsoever, in law or equity, arising from your participation in Educational Consultations including your failure to seek medical care from a licensed professional.

6. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution.
6.1. These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon where Interior Medicine is located, regardless of the conflict of laws principles. It is hoped that you will have no dispute with Interior Medicine. However, should a dispute arise between you and Interior Medicine, we would like to be able to work it out amicably. Therefore, it is requested that you contact us via e-mail at info@interiormedicine.com in attempt to resolve any dispute prior to seeking legal action and include your reasons for dissatisfaction. However, should we be unable to resolve any potential dispute within a reasonable time, you agree now that the only method of legal dispute resolution that will be used is binding arbitration before a single arbitrator, selected jointly, in accordance with the American Arbitration Association Rules. You understand and agree now that the only remedy that can be awarded to you through arbitration is full refund of your payment made to purchase Educational Consultations as of the date of such dispute. No other actions or financial awards of consequential damages, or any other type of damages, may be granted to you. We both agree now that the decision of the arbitrator is final and binding and may be entered as a judgment into any court having the appropriate jurisdiction. You also agree that should arbitration take place, it will be held in Portland, Oregon, and the prevailing party shall be entitled to all reasonable attorneys’ fees and all costs necessary to enforce the decision of the arbitrator. By purchasing an Educational Consultation, you are agreeing to a modification of the statute of limitations such that any arbitration must be begun within one (1) year of the date of your e-mail to Interior Medicine referenced above, or you waive the right to seek dispute resolution by arbitration or to take any other legal action related to Terms.
By booking and participating in an Educational Consultation with Interior Medicine you are agreeing to all of the above Terms. Do not book a consultation if you do not agree to the Terms.
