Plant and Mineral Paints

Another way to improve indoor air quality: use mineral- or plant-based paint. These paints are not just zero-VOC, they also absorb and release humidity as the weather changes, meaning walls can breathe, instead of trapping moisture and letting mold grow. They can even *absorb* VOCs and odors from indoor air-- similar to how putting baking soda in your fridge makes it smell better. So cool! Made with linseed or silica, and natural pigments, they look really pretty, too.
