How to support your circadian rhythm with your home lighting

Circadian Lighting is starting to catch on in hospitals and workplaces! I know the Cleveland Clinic recently installed circadian lighting in their cardiac ICU, for example. But for the rest of us at home, here are some easy ways to do it yourself:

◾️Little dimmable lamp in the bathroom: so you can do your nighttime things without messing up your circadian rhythm. Also GREAT when you wake up sleepy and aren’t ready for a full assault on the eyes 👀

◾️Dimmable lamp in the kitchen: for night shuffles to get tea and early morning coffee-making

◾️Lots of Little Lamps Everywhere: if you have just one overhead lamp in each room, add a couple of floor or table lamps so you can layer and adjust the light throughout the day. I have 4 in our living room! I turn them all on when I need them, but at night, only have the two with the lowest wattages on.

◾️Very dim and warm nightlight in the bathroom: so you can safely visit in the middle of the night without making it more difficult to fall back asleep.
